Eveline van Duyl
Eveline van Duyl (1957) graduated from the Rieveld Academy in Amsterdam. She lives in Westerwijtwerd, where she works as a photographer and sculptor. Both media are of equal value to her and she prefers to present her work in the form of a combined installation. Van Duyl chooses various materials for her spatial work, both perishable and imperishable. Paintwork constructed in sugar, plaster, large shells and fake nails are integrated into her torsos in an inviting way. Sensory objects are a big inspiration for Van Duyl; she uses these in high-contrast sculptures, often in a literal way.
